- Senior Legal Officer, Crown Life Insurance Company, Toronto.
- Relocated to India for the practice of law at the Supreme Court of India (licence continues to be active) and counsel to Canadian companies in India or wishing to do business in India and Indian companies in Canada or wishing to do business in Canada.
- Upon return to Canada, joined as Senior Legal Executive for Canada Life Assurance Company, Toronto :
1988 – 1994: Senior Counsel, Group Insurance Operations in Canada, the U.S., the U.K., the Caribbean and Guam.
1995 – 2000: Senior International Counsel, for company operations in Brazil, China and India.
- President and CEO, Rathee and Associates, Canada based international consultancy.
President and Executive Director, Canada-India Business Council. Took over an insolvent national, non-profit association and brought it back to life –raised membership from 49 to 149 companies.
- Special Adviser – India, Law firm of Blake, Cassels & Graydon, Toronto, (“Blakes”).
